1758.- Birthplace of Agustín de Bethencourt, outstanding engineer, inventor, general and Knight of the Order of Imperial Russia.
1850.- This building was know as "The Dance and Theatre Club".
1888.- Building became an Hotel.
1905.- Named Hotel Monopol.
1928.- Carlos y Erna Gleixner became managers.
1960.- The building was enlarged, retaining its original structure.
1963.- The second generation takes over management.
1988.- Celebration of the first centenary as an hotel.
2003.- 75 years of ownership by the Gleixner family, closely associated with Tourism and this Town.
